New Delhi, Dec 31: Noted Supreme Court lawyer and senior leader Ashok Bhan has said that
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has enhanced opposition unity and increased its prestige as an aggressive people’s voice.
Speaking at a function of on the topic – “Reflections on the role of LoP in 2024”, Bhan
said Rahul Gandhi has emerged as the potential unifier of India and its inclusive polity. “Propounding to strictly adhere to Constitutionalism that is being observed in breach by right wing dispensation is the narrative being articulated by him in and outside parliament makes him a real hero for aspirational youth and toiling masses.”
Rahul Gandhi’s politics as the Leader of the Opposition (LOP), Bhan said have been marked by several positives. “One significant advantage is that the outcome of the 2024 parliamentary polls has emboldened the Opposition to perform its role with greater vigor. This has given Rahul Gandhi the ammunition to take on the ruling party more effectively.”
