Srinagar, Dec 06: Jammu and Kashmir Police, in collaboration with revenue authorities in Ganderbal on Wednesday attached the immovable properties belonging to four absconders who had illicitly exfiltrated to Pakistan.
A police officer from Ganderbal Police said police along with revenue authorities, took action to attach the properties of the four absconders including Lateef Khan, also known as Sajad, son of Kishwar Khan – The attached property consists of land measuring 13 Marlas in Gutlibagh.
Mohammad Hussain Shah, son of Aitibar Shah – The attached property includes land measuring 03 Kanals and 14 Marlas in Wayil Gutlibagh.
Wali-ullah, son of Mohammad Abdullah Khan – The attached property encompasses land measuring 13 Kanals in Gutlibagh.
Subsequently, on December 6th, the property of another absconder, Farooq Ahmad Wani, son of Ghulam Nabi Wani, was also targeted for attachment.
Land measuring 01 Kanal 05 Marla under Survey No. 423 Min, along with a building situated at Estate Saloora.
It’s crucial to note that all four absconders had exfiltrated to PoK/PAK with the intention of obtaining illegal arms and ammunition training.
The official said that the attachment of their properties represents a significant stride in addressing the issue and upholding the rule of law. This action reinforces the commitment of law enforcement agencies to curb illegal activities and maintain the integrity of the region.
“The Ganderbal Police emphasized that such operations are part of their ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the community.
He said the attached properties will remain under scrutiny as the legal process unfolds, marking a stern response to those involved in unlawful activities.
