Srinagar, Dec 17: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Anantnag has announced a comprehensive prohibition on private coaching by government school teaching staff across the district.
Kamal Kishore Badyal, the Chief Educational Officer of district Anantnag told the Rising Kashmir that no government school teachers in the Anantnag district are permitted to engage in private coaching, as this practice has been explicitly banned by the School Education Department.
“If any teaching personnel are found violating the rules strict action will be taken against them,” He said.
The CEO has issued the circular which said in view of the directions issued by the School Education Department from time to time and clear instructions already circulated by this office, all the lecturers, masters and teachers working under the administrative control of this office are directed not to practice private tuition, employment in any private institution or coaching center.
“All the DDOS / HOls are advised to certify that “None of the Lecturer, Master and Teacher is unauthorizedly involved in private tuitions / coaching”. If any teaching personnel are found violating the directives, strict action shall be taken against the official involved, as it amounts to a serious violation of the Jammu & Kashmir Employees Service Conduct Rules 1971,” circular stated.
It said that the Zonal level monitoring committees already constituted for the purpose of monitoring are also put under instructions to maintain strict vigil over the violators of the said directions and prompt reporting to this office thereof.Any deviation shall invite disciplinary action as warranted under rules.
