Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have booked one notorious drug peddler under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT NDPS Act) after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, “The notorious drug peddler has been identified as Gh. Nabi Ganaie @ Sher Puj S/O Gh. Mohd Ganaie R/O Chadoora. The booked notorious drug peddler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Kot Bhalwal Jail Jammu.”
The said drug peddler was involved in several NDPS cases registered in various police stations of the district and was promoting drug addiction by supplying drugs to local youth of District Budgam.
