Budgam, Feb 05: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that they have arrested four drug peddlers and recovered contraband substance from their possession in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A Police official said that a Police party from the Police Station Magam at a checkpoint established at Wata Magam, intercepted a suspicious vehicle bearing registration number JK05G-2152 with three persons on board.
They have been identified as Abid Ahmad Bhat Son of Ab Majid Bhat, Zeeshan Ahmad Dar Son of Fayaz Ahmad Dar and Ahitsham Ashraf Wani Son of Mohd Ashraf Wani, all residents of Hazarpora Aripanthan.
“During search, 315 grams of Charas was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized,” official said.
“On their disclosure, one more drug peddler identified as Amir Ahmed Ganiee son of Gh Ahmad Ganiee resident of Peth Kanihama was arrested and recovered 360 grams of charas Powder from his possession,” official said
A case vide FIR No.13/2024 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Magam and investigation has been initiated.
