Baramulla, Jun 16: In a swift operation, local authorities successfully located a 15-year-old boy from Sopore who had been reported missing since Thursday.
A police official said that the teenager, identified as Hashim Shabir Gojiri, son of Shabir Ahmed Gojiri from Batapora Sopore in Baramulla district, was reunited with his family on Friday afternoon.
The diligent efforts of the police led to the breakthrough, with the missing youth eventually being traced.
Following the required legal procedures, Hashim was formally returned to his family, providing them with immense relief after their distressing ordeal.
The police official said that the incident unfolded when Hashim departed from his residence yesterday afternoon, prompting immediate concern from his family.
“The family’s attempts to establish contact with him proved fruitless, prompting them to file a missing person report at the local Police Station Sopore,” he said.
The police authorities swiftly mobilized their resources, launching a comprehensive search operation to locate the teenager.
“With the cooperation of the community and the active involvement of law enforcement agencies, the search culminated in the successful recovery of Hashim,” the official further added.
The authorities have not disclosed the precise details surrounding the circumstances of his disappearance, nor the exact location where he was found.
However, it is believed that the police, through their diligent investigative work, were able to uncover critical information leading to his discovery.
The family expressed their gratitude to the police for their prompt response and successful resolution of the case.
