On the occasion of International Nurses Day 2023 — celebrated every year on 12th May, we must wholeheartedly compliment that nurses play a very crucial and important role in patient care and management and form a backbone in medical healthcare system.
Pertinently, the theme for this year’s Nurse’s Day as suggested by International Nurses Council – is titled “Our Nurses Our Future” – owing to their bright future in revolutionizing healthcare.
Moreover, to honour them — the year 2020 World Health Day theme — celebrated every year on 7th April by Word Health Organization was also titled “International Year for Nurses and Midwives” — owing to their biggest contribution and support in making the world a healthier place and the efforts they had made in managing the Covid-19 pandemic.
Having said, let us pay due regards and respect to all nurses around the world for their immense role in patient care and management. They behave motherly in ensuring care, concern, compassion and treatment towards patients. I can say that we doctors stand nowhere without their presence — they form an important connecting link between doctors and patients.
More to say, they always stood at frontline and had played a pivotal role in managing the struggling period of Covid-19 crisis. They surely deserve applauds of highest honor and regards. We must salute them by acknowledging and appreciating their work they are doing in service to humanity.
