Srinagar, March 06: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir announced on Friday that it is not currently considering the establishment or reorganization of Education Zones within the Union Territory of J&K.
Nonetheless, the proposal for a distinct Education Zone for Tulail will be reviewed by the School Education Department, taking into account the established criteria.
In response to inquiries from Nazir Ahmad Khan Gurezi, the Minister responsible for school education acknowledged that Tulail is indeed a remote area, located approximately 58 kilometers away.
“The jurisdiction of the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) in Gurez is extensive, and it encompasses challenging terrain,” the Minister stated.
The establishment of a separate Education Zone will only be contemplated after evaluating eligibility criteria, feasibility standards, and the number of operational schools in the region.
Additionally, the creation of a new Education Zone necessitates the establishment of positions and infrastructure development, which entails financial considerations.
