Srinagar, Jan 26: On the momentous occasion of India’s 75th Republic Day, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director of Sericulture, Jammu and Kashmir, hoisted the National Flag at the Directorate of Sericulture Dev. Department in Tulsibagh, Srinagar. The ceremony, attended by officers and a large gathering of staff, showcased a fervent commitment to the nation-building ideals that define the spirit of India.
The celebration commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, accompanied by a soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem. Adding a poignant touch to the festivities, a ceremonial salute was executed by the brave members of F Coy, 40th BN, Sashastra Seema Bal, hailing from Patna, Bihar.
Addressing the assembly, Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat emphasized the significance of India’s Republic Day and pledged to work tirelessly for the welfare of every section of society. The event highlighted a sense of patriotism and collective responsibility as the participants expressed their commitment to excellence in their endeavors.
The Directorate of Sericulture and its premises were transformed with vibrant floral arrangements, illuminations displaying the tricolor of the National Flag, and fluttering national flags along the border walls, resonating the spirit of patriotism and national pride. Similar fervor echoed across various Divisional and District offices of Sericulture Dev. Department throughout Jammu and Kashmir.
Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, in his address, urged officers and employees to exert concerted efforts, working on a mission mode to disseminate awareness about the department’s schemes and facilities. He emphasized the importance of schemes under HADP and various others, urging their implementation at the ground level for the benefit of silkworm rearers, farmers, and youth across J&K.
Expressing gratitude, Director Ajaz Ahmad Bhat acknowledged the unwavering support of the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Chief Secretary, and Principal Secretary to the Government Agriculture Production Department of Jammu and Kashmir.
He concluded his remarks by congratulating and praising the staff for their enthusiastic and active participation in the function. The occasion also saw the felicitation of staff members with mementos and certificates as a token of appreciation for their relentless commitment and lifetime achievements in the department.
