Jammu, Apr29: The Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), SadanandVasant Date, convened a meeting at the Police Headquarters in Jammu and engaged in detailed discussions with the Director General of Police J&K, R.R Swain, along with other senior officers.
The focus of the interaction centered on reinforcing collaborative efforts in investigations to combat terrorism effectively. The officers emphasised the need to dismantle the support structures facilitating nefarious activities and to devise more robust measures to ensure effective investigations.
Central to the discussions was the exploration of opportunities and the launch of initiatives aimed at ensuring sustainable support, resource allocation, and coordination between the J&K Police and NIA. This collaborative approach is envisioned to significantly enhance investigation efficiency and augment the overall efficacy of anti-terrorism endeavours.
The meeting also deliberated on the initiation of a capacity-building program between the NIA and J&K Police, underscoring the importance of continuous skill enhancement in the fight against terrorism.
