NC seeks adequate arrangements for Parkash Utsav

Srinagar, Nov 24: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Friday sought effective arrangements for a smooth celebration of the 554th Parkash Utsav of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj.
Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi and Minority Wing organizer Sardar Jagdish Singh Azad have asked the administration to ensure security, sanitation, water, electricity, traffic, barricading, fire tenders, medical facilities, etc in and around Gurudwaras across J&K on the upcoming auspicious eve.
Calling for interdepartmental coordination, the duo impressed upon the government to pass necessary instructions to the concerned departments to put in place all necessary arrangements well in time for the smooth celebration of the auspicious day.
The duo particularly asked the Traffic Department to ensure proper management and regulation of traffic to avoid inconvenience to the devotees.
