MP GA Khatana reviews developmental works at Reasi

Reasi, March 09: Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Ali Khatana conducted a review of the progress of centrally sponsored schemes being implemented in district Reasi in a meeting held at the district headquarters.
The Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Babila Rakwal, ADDC Jyoti Salathia, ADC Abdul Star, CPO Sunita Kanchan, POICDS Anwar Banday, and other district officers attended the meeting along with Executive Engineers.
The DDC presented a detailed PowerPoint about the ongoing developmental works being executed by different departments in the district, highlighting the achievements under different sectors. The district has recorded 76% physical expenditure against the target.
The Member of Rajya Sabha directed concerned departments to mobilise their men and machinery for effective implementation and coverage of 100% eligible beneficiaries under all schemes. He stressed on timely and effective redressal of public grievances at their doorsteps and directed officers to work in coordination for better results at the grassroots level.
The PDD was asked to regulate the power supply in the city and peripheral areas and avoid unscheduled power cuts. Regarding the shortage of drinking water, the PHE authorities were directed to start all schemes under JJM and regulate and ensure water supply in the district while replacing the damaged pipes at the earliest.
The Chief Education Officer was directed to prepare a plan for the rationalisation of teaching staff in the district to resolve the problem of the shortage of teaching staff in schools. PWD, RDD, and other departments were directed to install crash barriers on identified dark spots to avoid any untoward incidents.
While reviewing the road and division-wise progress of PMGSY,PWD and  NABARD projects, MP Rajya Sabha directed all concerned departments to expedite the progress of work and achieve the targets set by the government within the timeline.
The SE PHE was directed to conduct awareness camps to generate awareness about the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme and to speed up the works under MGNREGA, physical verification of the progress of work of roads taken up under City, Town and NABARD schemes, and submit a report to the Deputy Commissioner for further necessary action.
