Tangmarg, Jan 02: In a tragic fire incident, two minor siblings were charred to death in Ferozpora area of Tangmarg in North Kashmir on Thursday. The heartbreaking mishap occurred when fire erupted in a residential tin shed belonging to Mohammed Ashraf Dar.
The officials revealed that the fire originated from a traditional wooden burner (Bukhari) and subsequently engulfed the entire tin shed.
According to police sources, the deceased siblings were residents of the Ferozpora area of the Tangmarg tehsil.
“The fire incident occurred in the residential tin shed belonging to Mohammed Ashraf Dar. One of the deceased minors was three years old, while the other was merely three months old,” officials said.
Syed Qadri, Tehsildar of Tangmarg told Rising Kashmir that two young children tragically lost their lives in the fire incident.
“We visited the spot where the unfortunate incident occurred. Mohammad Ashraf’s father owns a house in close proximity to where the incident occurred, as he had provided accommodation for his son at his own residence. We are ready and prepared to assist in relocating the affected families to another location,” Qadri said.
