Qazigund, Sept 17: Narender Singh Yadav, a resident of Alwar, Rajasthan, has been pedalling across India with a powerful message: “Save the tree and save the earth.”
He embarked on this mission a year ago and has already completed a challenging tour through 13 states, including a recent leg from Ladakh to Kashmir.
He said that the southern tip of Kanyakumari is his next destination and is working out on that plan.
When asked about his mission, Narender told Rising Kashmir that, “I want to give the message that we should plant trees as much as possible. If we plant trees, our environment will be good. As you can see, natural disasters are happening. They are happening because the balance of nature has deteriorated.”
Narender’s commitment to this cause is unwavering. He said that maintaining a healthy environment is crucial for the well-being of future generations.
Despite the numerous challenges he faces on this journey, Narender chose a pollution-free cycle for a specific reason, stating, “We could have used a bike or a vehicle for this journey, but I wanted to give a large message by using a pollution-free cycle. Besides, a cycle is a very good thing for health.”
As for the total distance he plans to cover, Narender said, “I have cycled 11,500 kilometers upto Ladakh. I will add from Ladakh to Kashmir later. And now I have to go to Kanyakumari from Kashmir..”
Narender’s incredible journey serves as a symbol of hope and change, inspiring individuals across India to join the mission of tree conservation and environmental protection. His dedication to “Save the tree and save the earth” will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on the nation and beyond.
