Srinagar, Jan 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached out to the youth of India on the eve of National Voters Day, urging them to play an active role in shaping the nation’s future. In a virtual interaction with around 3 million first-time voters from various parts of the country, PM Modi highlighted the importance of their involvement in the political process.
Addressing the gathering, PM Modi encouraged young people to share their ideas and suggestions for the BJP’s manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections through the Namo app. He promised to personally meet those whose suggestions he found practical and valuable. Modi stressed the need for youth participation not only in voting but also in helping others get registered on the voters’ list.
Highlighting the significance of the next 25 years for India’s development, PM Modi urged the youth to take on the responsibility of transforming the nation by 2047. He emphasized that the youth have the power to bring about positive changes and defeat political parties that promote dynastic politics.
PM Modi underscored the importance of voting, stating that India’s progress in various sectors is a result of the power of the vote. He credited stable governance for achievements such as the abrogation of Article 370, the implementation of GST, and attracting significant foreign investment.
Furthermore, Modi recognised the potential of Indian youth to achieve ambitious goals like renewable energy targets and electrification projects. He urged them to lead initiatives in areas like electric mobility and environmental sustainability.
Emphasising the government’s support for youth development, PM Modi praised the tradition, talent, inspiration, and innovation among Indian youth. He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing necessary reforms and infrastructure for their growth.
Speaking on the abilities of youth, PM Modi said that this is the right time, and the youth of India are setting big targets and achieving them. For the same, PM Modi said, “The role of youth is important to meet the various renewable energy targets, including zero emission-based Indian Railways by 2030 and India’s net zero emissions by 2070.” Indian youth also must pioneer electric mobility and 100% rail electrification, he added.
Hailing Indian youth, PM Modi said, “Indian youth possess tradition and talent along with inspiration and innovation. He said that the people of India look up to its youth to achieve the impossible. For the same, the government has only aided this developmental process by providing much-needed enrichment in terms of reforms and infrastructure, PM Modi added.
Addressing concerns about corruption and dynastic politics, PM Modi urged the youth to prevent governance from falling into the wrong hands. He called for active participation to ensure a prosperous and secure future for India.
PM Modi urged the youth to exercise their voting power and engage in discussions on the Namo app. He emphasized that their involvement would not only shape the BJP’s manifesto but also influence India’s future policies. Modi urged everyone to pledge to include everyone in the democratic process and encourage voting across the nation.
