Lok Sabha Elections 2024: SVEEP Cell, Sports Association hosts Rajouri Cup T20 Cricket tournament

Rajouri, Apr 21: SVEEP Cell Rajouri, in collaboration with the Sports Association on Sunday organised Rajouri Cup T20 tournament here under the supervision of District Election officer, Om Parkash Bhagat.
Nodal officer SVEEP, Prof Mohammad Iqbal Raina coordinated the sports event themed ‘Chunav ka Parv Desh ka Garv’.
The tournament was inaugurated by the District Election Officer in presence of President Sports Association Rajouri and SVEEP team of Rajouri.
The DEO emphasized the importance of informed and responsible voting. He urged the participants to spread the message of electoral literacy in the society and encourage people to exercise their democratic right.
The tournament featured several teams, providing a platform to young people from across the district to showcase their cricketing skills while also learning about the electoral process.
Dr. Khalid Rayaz, member of SVEEP team said that this tournament not only promoted the sport of cricket, but it also provides an excellent opportunity to engage with the youth and raise awareness about electoral literacy. The initiative was widely appreciated by the participants and local residents, who commended the SVEEP team and organising team of Rajouri Cup T20 tournament for their innovative approach to voter education.
