Lineman electrocuted to death in Kunzer

Baramulla, Feb 12: A lineman was electrocuted to death in the Kunzer area of North Kashmir Baramulla district on Monday.
An official from the Police Station Kunzer told Rising Kashmir that a lineman working in the Power Development Department (PDD) was reparing the electric line of the receiving station near Batapora Kunzer, where he received the electric shock.
“Soon after this incident, he was also shifted to the primary health centre (PHC) Kunzer for the treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival,” the official said.
He has identified the deceased as Bashir Ahmad Khan, son of Ghulam Ahmad Khan, 57 years old.
“The proceedings have been registered under section 174 CrPC in the police station Kunzer in this regard,” he informed.
