Srinagar, Feb 11: The Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation Limited today issued a drug alert for Paracetamol 500 mg tablet with batch no: RT220504, D.O Mfg. June/2022, D.O. Exp. May 2024, manufactured by M/s Ridley Sciences Pvt. Ltd., part of the hospital supplies and has declared it not of standard quality.
“In reference to letter number No: JKMSCL/QC/SGR/2022/54-53, dated 09-02-2023of Incharge Quality Control of JKMSCL. In this context you are requested that the above mentioned batch has been declared “not of standard quality” by Govt. Analyst vide test report L/DA/2022-2023/1884 ON 07-02-2023,” read the JKMSCL communication.
Officials said the JKMSCL supplies drug was already sent to the government drug stores across the districts of Kashmir.
The communication titled most urgent asked all the Chief Medical Officers and Medical Superintendents to stop the use of above mentioned drug immediately.
“The unconsumed quantity may be returned to JKMSCL Regional Drug Warehouse, Bemina, Srinagar, without any delay,” the communication said.
