J&K Judokas bag 4 medals in 68th NSG at Ludhiana

Jammu, Dec 17: Continuing the good show at the national scene in the 68th National School Games (NSG), the Judokas of Jammu and Kashmir bagged four medals with one Silver and three Bronze medals in the event held at Ludhiana.
The medal winners included Mohd Hadi from Srinagar, who clinched Silver; Prikshit Singh from Reasi (Bronze); Syed Azaan from Srinagar (Bronze) and Nazia Fatima from Srinagar (Bronze). The Judokas were accompanied by Raman Sharma and Asiya as the Coaches.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) felicitated the medal winners after their return from Punjab in a simple function at Youth Hostel Nagrota, on Tuesday.
Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Ved Prakash alongwith Accounts Officer Directorate, Sunil Kumar Sharma and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Jammu, Smt Harvinder Kaur honoured the medal winners with garlands and distribution of sweets.
Secretary to the Government, Youth Services and Sports J&K, Sh Sarmad Hafeez and Director General Youth Services and Sports J&K, Sh Rajinder Singh Tara have congratulated the medal winners for this achievement.
“It is a matter of pride that J&K has won a total of 40 medals in five sports disciplines including Judo, Taekwondo, Fencing, Wushu and Weightlifting with 8 Gold, 13 Silver and 19 Bronze medals so far in 68th National School Games2024-25,” informed Ved Prakash.
