J&K Bank conducts DLRC meet in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Jan 06: To review the performance of Banks under Annual District Credit Plan (ACP 2023-24) for the quarter ending September 2023, J&K Bank convened a District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting that was chaired by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Ganderbal, Shyambir (IAS). The meeting was also attended by AGM RBI Sanjeev Sharma, LDM Ganderbal, Shabir A Dar DDM NABARD Junaid Hakim, RSETI Director and district coordinators of banks, government departments and other developmental agencies.
 
LDM Shabir A Dar informed the house that banks operating in the district have disbursed an amount of Rs 420.43 Cr in priority sector against the annual target of Rs 654.44 Cr registering an achievement of 64% and Rs 315.05 Cr in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs 224.62 Cr recording 140% achievement.
 
There has been a total credit disbursement of Rs 735.48 Cr against the annual target of Rs 879.06 Cr registering an achievement of 84% under the ACP in 2nd quarter ending September 2023 of FY 2023-24, he said, adding that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs 389.75 Cr under priority sector and Rs 264.55 Cr under non-priority sector aggregating to 90% contribution towards total credit dispensation in the district.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC emphasized upon the need for improving the credit flow to agriculture and allied sectors under HADP plan. He also stressed upon the banks to register more people under social security schemes with joint coordination of all the concerned agencies.
 
Besides reviewing the performance of the Banks and Govt. departments under various Schemes, the Chairman DLRC directed the line departments to sponsor quality cases and the banks for speedy disposal of the sponsored cases.
