New Delhi, Jan 06: Spring Fest is the annual social and cultural fest of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur.
With an online reach of over 2 million, Spring Fest is one of Asia’s largest cultural fest organized entirely by students. Enthusiastic participants from more than 800 major colleges of India throng to Kharagpur for this 3-day celebration of fun and frolic. Spring Fest 2023 celebrated its 64th edition of Spring Fest on 26-29 January 2023.
This year, Spring Fest IIT Kharagpur invites you to participate in our 3-day extravaganza at the IIT Kharagpur campus from 26th to 28th January 2024.
Spring Fest successfully executed “Hitch Hike”, the nationwide preliminary round for its diverse array of artistic events encompassing Dance, Drama, Music, Fashion, etc. This exhilarating event unfolded across ten vibrant Indian cities: Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Jaipur, and Chandigarh. Fueled by the enthusiasm of participants and the dedicated organizing team, the atmosphere was charged with palpable excitement and enjoyment for the viewers.
Spring Fest hosts a wide array of events spanning 13 different genres, featuring over 130 competitions where the finest talents in India compete for a total cash prize of approximately INR 35 lakhs. This year, once again, a plethora of new events have been introduced to stimulate your senses and unearth your hidden talents. These events serve as a platform for the very best, offering an opportunity for participants to relish the experience of a lifetime.
Star nights have always been an integral part of the Spring Fest charm. Artists like Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan, Vishal Shekhar, King, Nucleya, Farhan Akhtar, Amit Trivedi, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Salim-Sulaiman, KK, Prateek Kuhad, Nikhil D’Souza, The Raghu Dixit Project, Agnee, Indian Ocean, Pineapple Express, Parikrama, Euphoria, Pentagram, The Local Train, and many more monumental performances inclusive of a vibrant set of International shows like that of Dead by April, Monuments, Tesseract have happened at Spring Fest in the past years. With a history of rich culture, Spring Fest promises to be a grand extravaganza, a festival you would not want to miss.
