Jammu, June 14:The long-awaited dream of homeless individuals in Jammu is on the verge of fulfillment as the Jammu Development Authority (JDA) nears completion of 90% of the work on multi-storied flats in Lower Muthi. These flats, totaling 112 units, are set to provide much-needed housing solutions in three distinct categories.
Vice-Chairman, JDA,BhawaniRakwal, the project includes 72 flats in the 2 BHK category, 48 flats in the 3 BHK category, and 24 flats in the 5 BHK category, catering specifically to the homeless population. “We expect to complete the construction by December this year,” stated Rakwal, affirming that applications from prospective residents have been duly processed by the JDA.
The initiative, commenced three years ago, aims to address the housing needs of vulnerable communities in Jammu. Officials confirmed that 90% of the construction work is already finished, marking the project’s final phase. “Draws have been conducted, and deserving individuals will be allocated flats by December,” added officials, highlighting the imminent realization of residents’ aspirations.
The flats, strategically located near the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, underscore JDA’s commitment to enhancing living standards and fostering inclusive development across the region.
