Speaking on the occasion, Prof Abdul Wahid Makhdoomi, Registrar IUST said such camps are important towards promoting a culture of preventive healthcare and ensuring that our students and staff take proactive steps for their well-being.
The camp aimed at the early detection of eye diseases, monitoring vision changes, protecting against digital eye strain, assessing eye coordination, and screening for age-related eye changes, the university said in a statement.
“The initiative provided valuable insights into maintaining eye health and emphasized the importance of preventive care. About 200 students and staff were tested on the first day, and the screenings will continue tomorrow as well,” it added.
