Srinagar, July 26:
On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Chief of the Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande emphasized the importance of readiness to confront the evolving threats and complexities that the armed forces are likely to encounter in the future.
Speaking to reporters, the Army Chief highlighted the necessity for organizations, particularly the armed forces and defence agencies, to prepare and anticipate the challenges of the future.
“The dangers and challenges we face are expected to become more intricate in the times ahead, and we must be prepared. Our focus has been on developing adaptive, resilient, and responsive processes,” Gen Manoj Pande stated.
“By incorporating a technology-driven approach, our Army is poised to emerge as a future-ready and technology-enabled force, capable of effectively dealing with security challenges,” he said.
The Army Chief further emphasized that a combination of adaptive, resilient, and responsive processes, along with a technology-oriented approach, will enhance the armed forces’ ability to successfully counter the escalating security challenges.
He also acknowledged the significance of the synergy between the Armed Forces and the public, expressing confidence that this mutual support would only strengthen with time.
During the solemn event, General Anil Chauhan CDS, General Manoj Pande COAS, Admiral R Hari Kumar CNS and Air Chief Marshal VR ChaudhariCAS laid wreaths and paid homage to the bravehearts of Kargil war.
Their everlasting gratitude was extended to the courageous and valiant heroes of the Kargil War, whose selfless sacrifice continues to inspire the nation.
