New Delhi, Sept 29: Emphasising the Prime Minister Modi’s vision for India’s future, highlighting the transition from 75 to 100 years of independence as the “Amrit Kal,” a time for setting and achieving ambitious goals, the Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah asserted these goals include making India a fully developed nation by 2047, achieving a $5 trillion economy by 2026, and becoming the world’s third-largest economy by 2027.
Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Amit Shah, was delivering a keynote address at the 118th annual session on the theme of ‘Rising India: Amrit Kaal of Unprecedented Growth,’ of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry in New Delhi.
In his address, Amit Shah highlighted the remarkable transformations that India has witnessed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He emphasised that events like the recent G20 meeting hosted by India have injected new energy into every sector of the country, from trade and industry to space exploration. He credited the success of initiatives such as G20, Chandrayaan, Mission Aditya, and the implementation of a 33 per cent reservation for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for rejuvenating the nation.
Underscoring the significance of India’s ongoing journey as it approaches its 75th year of independence, Amit Shah commended the deepening of democratic roots in the country as one of the most significant achievements over the past 75 years. He reiterated that governance in terms of policy is a continuous process and celebrated India’s commitment to democracy.
The Home Minister Amit Shah praised India’s demographic advantage, democratic values, and the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in formulating effective policies. He called upon the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry to play a crucial role in shaping the future of India’s trade and industry.
Shah noted that India, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, has gained recognition as a “Vibrant Spot” globally, with a strong economy that experienced 7.8 per cent growth in the previous quarter. He emphasized the success of initiatives like the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme in making India a desirable destination for global investment.
The Home Minister highlighted the significant policy reforms in the last nine years, leading to substantial economic growth. He stated that the per capita income has increased, capital expenditure has risen, and infrastructure development has surged.
Amit Shah also touched upon various achievements, such as the growth of digital transactions, financial inclusion, and improved transportation networks. He lauded India’s leadership role in addressing global challenges, including terrorism and green energy.
Shah stressed the importance of the next 25 years for India’s trade and industry, urging companies to expand globally and increase investments in research and development. He expressed confidence that with determination and concerted efforts, India can continue its upward trajectory and achieve its ambitious goals.
