Srinagar, Sep 03: Apni Party’s Bandipora constituency in-charge, Syed Shafat Qazmi on Tuesday accused the candidates contesting elections as independents of being covertly aligned with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
“BJP’s J&K chief, Ravinder Raina recently said these independent candidates would join their ranks and form alliances,” Qazmi said while speaking to media persons in Bandipora district.
He added, “For the first time in 70 years, a political party has provided a mandate to a representative from the Gujjar and Bakarwal community in Bandipora.”
The Apni Party leader pledged to create employment opportunities for the youth. He said the people of J&K have suffered immensely over the past decade due to the absence of their own representatives. (KNS)
