Under the Save Brain initiative, the doctors at Sub District Hospital Kupwara on Friday successfully conducted the first thrombolysis stroke.
A health official divulging the details said, “Today at 1.30 pm, a patient who was known to be hypertensive came to SDH Kupwara Hospital with weakness on the right side of the body, under the guidance of HoD medicine Dr Shiekh Iqbal.
He said patient was immediately taken for “CT scan brain ” where Radiologist Dr Wasif confirmed Lacunar infarcts, patient was then shifted urgently to ER ROOM sdh kupwara, save brain initiative gruop Neurologists were consulted and THROMBOLYSIS was done by DR SYED shb, Dr Ayjaz, Dr Zia ul Islam, Dr Sahil surani , Dr Ashraf and Paramedical staff of ER ( Nisar shb, Showket shb, Bilal ahmad and Saqib) under guidance of Dr Sheikh IQBAL and overall supervision of MS SDH Kupwara Dr Abdul Gani.
It is important to note here that the doctors of this healthy institution were hailed by the people for successfully conducting the first round of thrombolysis.
