Srinagar, Dec 06: In response to a complaint regarding illegal construction activities at the Municipal Council in Budgam, Jammu & Kashmir Government has taken decisive action by suspenpending then executive office of Municipal Council Budgam with immediate effect.
According to officials the said employee Nazir Ahmad Dar, then Executive Officer, Municipal Council Budgam, is presently serving at Municipal Committee, Khansahib.
As per the order issued Housing and Urban Development Department, “Pending enquiry into his conduct and in terms of Rule 31(1) of Jamm and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, it: ordered that Mr. Nazir Ahmad Dar, then Executive Officer, Municipal Counc Budgam, presently at Municipal Committee, Khansahib is hereby placed unde suspension with immediate effect.
“The officer shall remain attached in the Lirectorate of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, till further orders”, the order reads.
The order, signed by Special Secretary to Government Ashish Gupta (JKAS), emphasizes the government’s resolve to maintain the integrity of public office and take swift action against any wrongdoing.
This action underscores the government’s commitment to upholding transparency and accountability in municipal administration.
The Directorate of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir, will conduct a thorough inquiry into the allegations against Nazir Ahmad Dar. The suspension aims to ensure a fair and impartial investigation into the matter.
