Govt must act immediately on deaths in Rajouri: CPI(M)

Srinagar, Jan 13: Communist Party of India (Marxist) Secretary for J&K, Ghulam Nabi Malik on Monday urged the government to take immediate action regarding the recent deaths in Budhal, Rajouri, allegedly caused by a mysterious illness.
He called for urgent measures to prevent further loss of life and demanded compensation for the affected families.
In a statement issued here, Malik expressed deep concern over the human loss and said the government should prioritise and identify the cause of the mysterious disease and address it on priority.
“The tragic loss of lives deserves the urgency for the government to deploy intensified healthcare teams in the area to contain the situation and safeguard the villagers,” Malik said.
He extended sympathies to the families of the deceased and urged the authorities to ensure adequate support, including compensation, for the survivors. “The government must act immediately to prevent further tragedies,” Malik added.
