Govt frames list of 366 officials to remain present at Civil Secretariat Jmu, Sgr

Srinagar, Nov 03: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued a list of 366 officials who have been asked to remain present as per functional requirements of the departments.
The step has been taken to ensure the smooth functioning of the Civil Secretariat in Jammu and Srinagar divisions.
An order signed by Secretary, General Administration Department (GAD) Dr Piysh Singla reads, “Officials/officers figuring in the list shall work from winter secretariat Jammu as per functional requirements of the departments for the winter session 2022-23.”
“The officials from all the key departments will be present as per requirements in order to ensure the Secretariat, the highest seat of power, functions simultaneously in a smooth manner both in Srinagar as well as Jammu,” said a top official.
As per the order, the list of officials comprises of the top ranking as well as lower rank employees.
The high ranking officials figuring in the list include Kusum Badyal, Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, G N Itoo, Special Secretary Jal Shakti Department, Shabnam Kamili, Secretary Agriculture Production Department, Mohammad Yaqoob Itoo, Director General, Finance Department, Anil Koul, Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department, Amarjeet Singh, Special Secretary Tourism Department.
Similarly, Syed Muried Hussain Shah, additional Secretary Department of ARI and Trainings, Kulbushan Kumar, Director Finance, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, G A Sofi, Commissioner of enquiries, General Administration Department (GAD), Vikas Sharma, ROhit Sharma, Vishal Sharma who are Additional Secretaries in the GAD, Rakesh Kumar Badyal, Special Secretary in Higher Education Department, Qazi Irfan and Syed Sarfaraz Rizvi, both are additional secretaries in Home Department and many other officials and the support staff.
Last year, the government had put an end to the 149-year old practice of Darbar Move.
Srinagar serves as the summer capital and Jammu as the winter capital of the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
