Jammu, May 15: Four U-23 cricketers of the Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Jammu, have sealed berths in U-23 shortlisted players to play in the first of its kind Senior Men’s Cricket League, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) at Hostel Ground, here.
These four cricketers include Praful Dhar, Dhruv Gupta, Ishan Bali and Pranav Sharma.
Praful Dhar is an off-spinning all-rounder, Dhruv Gupta is a medium pacer, Ishan Bali a top-order batter and Pranav Sharma an opening batsman.
These players have made it to the shortlisted probables picked by the JKCA Selectors for this prestigious league after performing well in the first phase of selection.
It is pertinent to mention here that MIET Jammu is among very few professional colleges which involve its students in sporting activities throughout the year.
These cricketers receive training under Cricket Coach and Sports Officer MIET Jammu, Sukomal Ganguly.
“The selection of our students in JKCA’s Deep selection camp is a proud moment for our college and a testament to the efforts made by the college management in providing facilities to athletes to hone their sporting skill,” maintained Ganguly.
