Srinagar, Aug 20: Chairman Kashmir Society International Khwaja Farooq Renzushah on Sunday addressed a gathering of Sufi scholars and devotees at Naji Bhat Wagoora Baramulla in a sacred place of Tasawuf.
Renzushah in a statement said a similar conference was held at this place 175 years ago.
The programme started with ‘Sama Saadaat’ by reciting Tasawuf verses of ‘Arif Billah Hazrat Maan Mouj’, the statement said.
“Jenab Khurshid Ahmad Waza, a direct descendant of Arif Billah Waza Mahmood and Arif Billah Hazrat Shah Fareed organised this grand event through Hazrat Waza Mahmood Anjuman. A galaxy of Tasawuf devotees, authors and scholars including Khwaja Renzushah, Khurshid Ahmad Waza, Hina Bhat, Safeena Beigh, Basharat Bukhari, Shoeb Lone, Zaffar Bhat along with thousands of people, Ashiqaan-e-Rasool (SAW) and Ashiqan-e-Awaliyas were present,” the statement said.
Renzushah read his mystic Tasawuf Afsana ‘Traish Taie Khoon’ conceived at the shrine of ‘Arif Billah Man Mouj’, the descendant of ‘Arif Billah Waza Mahmood, Shah Fareed and Gour Mouj’. He paid obeisance at her holy shrine on the spot of Naji Bhat.
Khwaja Farooq said he conceived the Afsana ‘Traish Tae Khoon’ at a literary function on August 18. After reciting the Afsana, he expressed satisfaction that this art has been kept alive by the new generation of Kashmir who find the knowledge of Tasawuf as the best medium of their expression.
Renzushah appreciated Hina Bhat for being from ‘Tasawuf Khanwada’ and hailed Safeena Beigh’s speech on Arafat, Muzdalfa, Madina and Ka’aba. “It is really good that personalities like Hina Bhat, Safeena Beigh, Shoeb Lone, Basharat Bukhari, Yaqoob sahib, Zafar sahib, Khurshid sahib, Gulzar Ganaie, Zahid sahib, Ilyas sahib, and others spoke of the importance of Tasawuf in Kashmir,” he said.
The scholars from the Kashmiri Pandit and Sikh communities also joined the “grand historical” conference, the statement said.
