Srinagar, Sep 06: The Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department has decided to collaborate and sign Memorandum of understanding (MoU) with sister colleges in other states of India to ensure academic growth and skill enhancement.
Principal Secretary, Higher Education Department, Rohit Kansal said this in a circular regarding the collaborative growth of Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Colleges will enter into collaborations and sign MOUs with sister colleges in other states to ensure academic growth and skill enhancement. Faculty and student exchange shall be encouraged,” it reads.
Kansal has specially stressed the concerned college authorities to make partnerships with Tamil Nadu.
“Partnerships with Tamil Nadu, which is the partner of Jammu and Kashmir under Ek Bharat Shershtha Bharat initiative, are especially encouraged,” he said.
“In line with the vision of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Higher Education department of Jammu and Kashmir has initiated a series of reforms for improving the quality of learning and teaching in all Government Institutions,” it reads.
It further states that these actions include steps towards Achieving Academic Excellence, Enhancing Skills and Employability of the students, encouraging Research, Innovation and a Start up Culture and finally rewarding effort and achievement.
“In addition to these matters and in order to create a culture of excellence within the Higher Education ecosystem, we have also devised a three step feedback process that us at students level, faculty level and college level,” reads the circular.
