Srinagar, Mar 20: The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) issued a stern warning to private schools for unlawfully charging capitation fees from students.
Talking to the reporters, Director School Education Kashmir TassaduqHussain Mir emphasized that any school found charging admission or miscellaneous fees will face severe consequences.
Furthermore, he highlighted that a circular has already been issued in this regard, and the situation is being closely monitored
DSEK stated, “The administrative Secretary of the School Education Department, PiyushaSingla, has formed a committee to investigate the incident that occurred yesterday, where incorrect question papers were distributed to students in the Physical Education subject.”
Tassaduq mentioned that both the Director of School Education Kashmir and the Director of School Education Jammu have been appointed as committee members. They will conduct a thorough inquiry into the matter and submit an unbiased report to the administrative secretary within seven days. This will enable legal action to be taken against those responsible for this incident.
It is worth noting that on 20th March 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) took an unprecedented decision to cancel the 12th-grade Physical Education exam paper due to an error in packaging, resulting in students receiving the question paper intended for the 11th grade.
