Srinagar, July 10:The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Wednesday said that strict action will be taken against schools demanding admission fees.
Addressing reporters, Director School Education Kashmir, TasaduqHussain, emphasised that the Fee Fixation and Regulation Committee (FFRC) of Jammu and Kashmir has instructed all private schools to refrain from charging admission fees during the enrollment period.
The DSEK’s statement comes in response to numerous complaints from parents regarding schools violating regulations by demanding such fees without providing receipts. The FFRC has warned that schools found guilty of these practices could face legal consequences, including possible de-recognition.
“If any school is found involved, it will face appropriate action, and more stringent measures will be taken if necessary, in accordance with the rules and regulations,” said DSEK.
Additionally, the DSEK said that they are in contact with the weather department and will make a proper decision regarding the extension of summer vacation in the Kashmir Valley as per the weather advisory.
