Srinagar, Oct 31: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have extended their congratulations to Sanjeev Kumar, Iqra Farooq and Vasudha Sharma for securing the top three positions in the JKAS exam. They also congratulated all the candidates who qualified for the exams.
Felicitating the successful candidates, Dr Farooq in a statement issued here emphasised the crucial role that bureaucracy plays as the eyes and arms of government. “It is truly inspiring to see the youth of J&K excel in such prestigious exams despite facing numerous challenges such as limited resources and lack of exposure. I commend all the candidates from J&K who have achieved success. Your hard work, determination, and perseverance have paid off. I extend my best wishes to the families of the successful candidates.”
“I urge each of them to strive towards creating a work culture that is distinguished and impactful, no matter where they are posted or in what capacity. I have full confidence that the new candidates will carry out your duties with professionalism and compassion,” he added.
The party Vice-President Omar Abdullah while felicitating the successful candidates said that it was gratifying to see the hard work of the candidates bore fruit. “Civil servants are the extended arms of the government. They are responsible for managing resources and delivering services. I hope that the new recruits maintain high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and impartiality in serving the people. I congratulate the families of those who have cracked the prestigious examination,” he said.
Meanwhile, Dr Farooq and Omar extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Diwali. They expressed hope that the festival will be celebrated with traditional harmony, enthusiasm, and brotherhood.
In a heartfelt message, Dr Farooq wishes prosperity to the region and happiness to its people. He emphasised the importance of celebrating festivals in an atmosphere of unity and brotherhood, calling for the strengthening of this cherished tradition.
Omar in his message said, “May this Diwali strengthen the bond of brotherhood and communal harmony in J&K.” He stressed the need for strengthening harmony and brotherhood in the glorious traditions of J&K’s pluralistic ethos.
