In frontier Kupwara district, hectic efforts were on, to clear the snow from the main roads and restore the essential services despite heavy snowfall which is continuing from yesterday evening.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan visited various areas to monitor snow clearance operations and restoration measures across the district.
The administration has remained steadfast in its commitment to restoring essential services and ensuring the welfare of residents in this border district. All the resources have been mobilized to prioritize the restoration of road connectivity, power supply, water supply and the distribution of essential commodities to affected areas.
Teams have been deployed round the clock to clear snow from roads and ensure safe passage for commuters. Additionally, efforts are underway to address disruptions in power and water supply.
