Dir Horticulture attends B2V5 prog in Kupwara

Kupwara, Nov 09: Director Horticulture Kashmir G. R. Mir Thursday attended “Back to Village 5” (B2V5) Programme in Kupwara district
This two-day event, brought government officials closer to the grassroots and fostering a stronger connection with the community.
The programme commenced with an enriching meeting that included participation from Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), the general public, and representatives from various government departments. The visiting Office meticulously conducted department-wise reviews, emphasizing the need for constructive feedback from PRIs and the public. On-the-spot grievance redressal was a priority during these interactions.
The Director Horticulture, accompanied by other officers inspected several community institutions, including schools, health center, anganwari centers, ration depots, and other government offices. During these visits, Mr. Mir assessed ongoing and completed works, reinforcing the importance of effective project execution.
In addition, Mr. G. R. Mir inaugurated various essential projects, including Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) houses, segregation shed, compost/soakage pits, irrigation wells and other initiatives under MGNREGA. These developments are expected to make a significant impact on the lives of the local population.
The programme’s cultural dimension was equally vibrant, with debates, seminars, skits, songs, dramas, and folk shows held in schools. Mr. Mir also witnessed spirited sports events organized in the panchayat, celebrating the region’s sporting talent. Certificates were distributed to beneficiaries, during the programme.
The visiting officer dedicated efforts towards raising awareness about digital services, transparency, a corruption-free system, and the vision of a “NashaMukt” (drug-free) and “Viksit Bharat” (developed India) among the public. Healthy discussions were held on these issues.
The Endeavor was met with an overwhelming response from the local population, highlighting the community’s gratitude towards the UT Government. The “Back to Village 5” programme, with its multifaceted approach, has undoubtedly left indelible marks on the public of the said Panchayat during the programme.
In conclusion, this event demonstrates the commitment of the government to bring administration closer to the people. It serves as a beacon of hope and progress, fostering a brighter future. As we celebrate the success of the “Back to Village” programme we look forward to more collaborative efforts that strengthen the bond between the government and the communities it serves.
