DDC Rajouri reviews working of Education department

Rajouri, May 14: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal on Sunday took a comprehensive review of the working of the education department in the district here at a meeting. The meeting focused on several key aspects of education, including biometric attendance, school staff enrolment drives, availability of basic amenities toilets in schools, water and Power supply and overall academic performance.
The DC emphasised on regular inspection of schools by the ZEOs to check the attendance of the teaching staff and academic activities.
The ZEOs were directed to take measures to ensure availability of the drinking water facility in at least 10 schools, lacking the same, per week and to submit the tour diary of their activities and overall performance of schools.
To facilitate prompt redressal of grievances, he directed the Chief Education Officer (CEO) to establish a grievances cell in his office and link it with the Azaala app of the district administration. “This will ensure that students, parents, and other stakeholders can report any issue related to the education sector in a timely and efficient manner,” he said.
During the meeting, the DDC also emphasised the importance of adequate teaching staff in schools. He noted that teachers are the backbone of the education system and their presence and active participation in school activities are crucial for ensuring quality education. He directed the CEO to take all necessary measures to ensure that all teachers attend school regularly and perform their duties diligently.
Furthermore, the DC stated that the administration is committed to ensuring that every student in the district receives the best possible education. He assured that the administration would provide all necessary support to the education sector to achieve this goal. He also urged the teachers to actively participate in school activities and perform their duties with dedication and commitment.
The meeting was attended by Chief Education Officer, Sultana Kouser and ZEOs.
