Ganderbal, July 24: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, Thursday chaired a meeting of the District Level Screening Cum Coordination Committee (DLSCC) to review and process cases related to SRO-43 and relief for victims of terror-related incidents in the district.The meeting, held in the V.C Room of the DC Office, reviewed several cases and inputs were obtained from the Police Department, Field Functionaries, CRPF, BSF, and Army.The DC reviewed claims submitted by the next of kin (NoKs) of civilians killed in terror-related incidents under SRO-43 provisions. He emphasized the need for careful scrutiny and coordination among all stakeholders to ensure timely justice and relief to the affected families. Underscoring the importance of a transparent and expeditious process, the DC directed the Committee to consider all reports and recommendations from concerned departments while maintaining a humanitarian approach in the decision-making process. After comprehensive deliberation, the Committee decided to forward several cases to higher authorities for consideration of certain relaxations as per the norms. The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Fahim Bihaqi, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, senior officers from the CRPF, BSF, Army, and concerned Tehsildars.
