Kathua, Oct 11: Centre for Women Studies, government degree college kathua in collaboration with legal authority and DHEW organised Workshop under the guidance of Principal,GDC Kathua.
Prof. Sumnesh jasrotia. Over 50 students participated in this program. Ofter lightening of traditional lamp, Dr.Rachna,Co.ordinator CWS welcomed the chief guest, members of DHEW and resource persons from legal authority. Adv Nyaya Sharma and Adv.Sumit jasrotia give a detailed lecture on Women rights. Co ordinator DHEW, Ms Shilpa Sharma and MsShikha Sharma also spoke about various schemes launched by Govt. Of India.
This workshop was sponsored by National Commission for women. Principal GDC Kathua appreciated the initiative taken by CWS and congratulated the students for this program and appreciated Dr.Rachna and also suggested to organise more and more such programs in future. Chief guest in his adress throw light on tha varoius facilities provided by the college to the female students for smooth functioning of the institution. In order to avoid harassmentvaroius committees are framed in the college. Other faculty members present include Prof.Rakesh Singh. Dr.Ritu Bhagat, Dr Renu. Members of OSC Ms Anjisha, President Women Era, Ms kusum salaria, Rotary president Indu Rekha were also present in the program. In the end,formal vote of thanks was presented by Shikha Sharma from DHEW.
