 Cong supports Jammu bandh call

Jammu, Mar 09: The Congress Party has extended its support to the Jammu bandh call given by the Chamber of Commerce and Industries for March 11.
          The support to the Jammu bandh call was given by the JKPCC President, Vikar Rasool, during a programme at PCC office at Shaheedi Chowk, Jammu, which was organised to welcome the new entrants into the party fold.
          “The Congress Party fully supports the Jammu Bandh call against the Property Tax, unemployment and other anti-people decisions of the government in the larger interest of the people of JKUT,” the JKPCC President said while speaking on the occasion.
          He said Congress Party believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of the J&K UT.
          He said Congress Party is duty bound to address the urges and aspirations of the people.
          On the occasion, senior DAP leader, Riaz Ahmed Sheikh along with several DDC members, Panchs, Sarpanchs and other prominent people  joined  the Congress party along with their supporters.
          They were  welcomed in the party by JKPCC President Shri Vikar Rasool Wani and Working President Shri Raman Bhalla, President DCC Doda  Sheikh Mujeeb   and others.
          JKPCC Chief Vikar Rasool Wani said Congress party believes in strengthening the people and is committed to equitable development of the J&K UT.
          He described BJP dispensation as anti-poor and anti development, saying due to anti-people polices of BJP,  the sufferings of the common man have increased manifold.
