SRINAGAR, DEC 07: In a significant move to enhance direct communication with the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today launched his inaugural public interaction session at the newly established Chief Minister’s Public Services and Outreach Office, named Raabita. The office aims to provide a dedicated platform for addressing public grievances and fostering a stronger relationship between the government and the citizens.
During the event, 15 delegations, representing a wide array of social, cultural, and professional groups, met with the Chief Minister to present their concerns. Key issues raised included economic challenges, employment opportunities, sectoral development, and the preservation of the region’s unique cultural heritage.
Cultural heritage preservation was a focal point of the discussions, with several delegations advocating for initiatives to safeguard Jammu and Kashmir’s rich traditions, promote local languages, and implement social welfare programs.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah attentively listened to the concerns and emphasized the importance of a cohesive approach to protect the region’s unique identity and promote holistic development across all sectors.
