Budgam: The body of a Kashmiri youth found dead at a college hostel in Kolkata, West Bengal, reached his native village of Khansahib in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Sunday.
The locals told Rising Kashmir that the body of Muhammad Umar Ganai, son of Bashir Ahmad, reached his home at Debipora Yarikhah of Khansahib in the afternoon. The neighbours and relatives were seen wailing over the death of Umar who was studying engineering at the Budge Budge Institute of Technology (BBIT College) in Kolkata.
He was found dead on June 2 in a college hostel. Police have started an investigation to ascertain the cause of the death.
