BJP opens social media wing in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 13: BJP General Secretary, Ashok Kaul Thursday inaugurated office for party’s social media wing, with latest communication technologies, in the presence of J&K’s top party leaders, including social media Prabhari Thakur Abhijeet Singh and senior leader Sajid Yousuf Shah.
Addressing the media, Jasrotia emphasized social media’s growing influence in disseminating the truth. He highlighted its pivotal role in revealing the reality during the turbulent period when the “Paradise on Earth” bore witness to the sinister agenda of anti-national elements.
“Since the transformative events of August 5, 2019, the new era of Naya Kashmir has emerged, and media, particularly social media, has played a crucial role in unearthing the truths,” Jasrotia said, adding that, once again, it is the responsibility of the media, especially social media, to circulate accurate and authentic portrayals of Naya Kashmir.
The inauguration event witnessed the presence of esteemed party leaders, including former MLC Surender Ambardar, Sheikh Salman, Raja Arif, Sahil Bashir Bhat Tiger G M Sheikh, and many others.
The establishment of the new Social Media Office marks a significant milestone in the JK BJP’s efforts to empower social media platforms to shape narratives based on truth and dispel misinformation.
“Social media has played a pivotal role in the return of normalcy to Kashmir; their role as a fourth pillar was key to success,” said Ashok Koul.
