BUDGAM: Two persons were injured when they were attacked by a wild bear in the forest area of Ringzabal village, located in the Khansahib tehsil of the Budgam district on Tuesday
Ghulam Din Poswal, a local resident of Ringzabal village told the Rising Kashmir that they were grazing their sheep in the Shalkani forest when the bear attacked them.
A doctor from the Primary Health Centre in Hardapunzoo said that two persons from Ringzabal village were brought to the health centre for treatment. They have been referred to JVC Hospital for further treatment.
He identified the both injured persons as Ishaq Ahmad Sood, 18 years age , son of Mohd Aslam Sood, and Mushtaq Ahmad Poswal, 24 years age , son of Gh Hasan Poswal. Both are residents of Ringzabal village in Khansahib tehsil.
Bashir Ahmad Bhat, the Block Officer of the Wildlife Control Room in Budgam, confirmed that the incident occurred in the forest area.
“To ensure the safety of the public, it is advised that people to follow the wildlife advisory that has been already issued by the wildlife department,” he said.
