Srinagar, July 09: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday said that the party has a clear vision and a strong commitment to ensuring prosperity and development in Jammu & Kashmir. He said the party is unwaveringly dedicated to serving the people and safeguarding their rights.
He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from Yaripora in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. Led by Engineer Aaqib Shafi, the delegation met Altaf Bukhari at the party headquarters in Srinagar, the party said in a statement.
“The delegation members briefed the party president on some pressing public issues and internal party affairs. They expressed concerns over inadequate developmental infrastructure, as well as insufficient water and electricity supply in their locality, the statement said, adding, “They highlighted that these issues have been causing hardship to residents, while as the concerned authorities seem to be paying no heed to these public grievances.”
Bukhari gave a patient hearing to the visiting delegation and assured them that he would bring these public issues to the notice of the concerned officials for their quick redressal. The delegation members also discussed party matters with the president and shared their views and suggestions to further strengthen the party cadre in their areas. These suggestions included intensifying public outreach and enhancing the membership drive to further improve the organisational setup.
Speaking on the occasion, Altaf Bukhari said, “Apni Party is dedicated to serving the people and protecting their rights in Jammu and Kashmir. We have both the potential and the will to ensure prosperity and development in the region, and we are committed to realising our vision and mission. Regarding the party’s organisational setup, we are working to strengthen it further and improve the quality of work at the grassroots level.”
Meanwhile, Apni Party President expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the death of 4 persons of a family in Handwara. This horrific accident, in which Ghulam Rasool Bhat, his son Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, and daughters Shabnum Aara and Rifat Aara died, occurred Monday night at Kanchaki in the Rajpora area of Rajwar Handwara.
Bukhari said, “I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn about the tragic accident in Handwara, where four members of a family lost their lives instantly. This heartbreaking incident is inconsolable. May Allah grant the departed souls eternal peace and give their loved ones the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
