Anantnag, Jun 15: In a significant achievement, Syed Naheeda, a Radiology Technologist from Government Medical College (GMC) Anantnag, presented a research paper at the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) World Congress 2024, held in Hong Kong.
Naheeda represented the Department of Radiology with her paper, titled “Imaging Strategies for VVF with Large Bladder Calculus.”
The GMC spokesperson revealed that Principal GMC Anantnag, Professor Dr Rukhsana Najeeb, extended her heartfelt congratulations to Syed Naheeda for bringing recognition to the institution on an international platform.
“Showcasing our research and innovations at international levels is crucial for the growth and development of our institution,” she said.
The spokesperson said that this is the first time a Principal of GMC Anantnag has permitted a faculty member to present a paper at an international level after obtaining proper permission from the Administrative Department.
He said that Dr Mir Saiqa Shafi, Head of the Department of Radiology at GMC Anantnag, also commended Naheeda for her dedication and the significant contribution her research brings to the field of radiology.
“The institution takes pride in her accomplishment, viewing it as a testament to the quality of work being done at GMC Anantnag,” Dr Saiqa said.
Notably, the ISRRT World Congress is a prestigious event that brings together radiographers and radiological technologists from around the globe to share advancements, research findings, and innovations in the field of medical imaging.
