Adil Rashid Shah elected president of J&K Carrom Association held

Srinagar, Mar 04: Annual General Council meet of all the members and office bearers of the J&K Carrom Association was held on Saturday at Hotel Standard Amira Kadal Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
The meeting was held under the supervision of newly appointed president of the associationAdil Rashid Shah The president revived and ordered to develop the Strength, Stamina and physical fitness of J&K Carrom Association. How to boost the game of Carrom in the districts & UT of the J&K was also discussed. District Units of the association were asked to conduct the local tournaments in all the districts, so that the talent come to the surface & prove their mettle in the National level tournaments.
Newly Appointed Members for the period of Four Years are President: Adil Rashid Shah, Sr. Vice President: Sameer Ahmad Ganie, Vice President: Arif Sultan, General Secretary: Mudasir Khan, Secretary: Dawar Rashid, Jt. Secretary (K): Sheikh Mohammad Saqib, Jt. Secretary (J): Jagpal Singh, Treasurer: Adfar Jan
Executive Members of the Association are Mudasir Altaf (Shopian), Nisar Paul (Budgam), Talib Rashid (Srinagar), Numan Hamid (Srinagar), IshfaqNajar (Anantnag), Zahoor Ahmad (Pulwama), Irfan Majeed (Bandipora), Mir Usama (Kupwara), Malik Adil (Anantnag), Syed Araaf (Ganderbal)
Rauf Tramboo, Former Member J&K Sports Council attended the election as Observer and Mehak Mehboob Khan as Returning Officer of the Election.
Further the President informed the house that the association is also lacking technical experts in the J&K UT for the coaching of players and it was decided that All India Carrom Federation and the J&K Sports Council be approached.
