ADDC Budgam Flags off Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van from DC Office

The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van was flagged off today from DC Office Budgam by Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Akramullah Tak in presence of ACD, Nuzhat Qureshi, ARTO Budgam and Manzoor Ahmad.

Meanwhile, the VBSY  are going on in full swing, with locals overwhelmingly participating in the activities.

The Van went across various Panchayat Halqas including  Higher Secondary School Hayatpora in Block Chadoora were an impressive event was held. 

In Budgam, people thronged to the venues and participated in Sankalp Yatra programmes enthusiastically. The line departments also raised awareness on public welfare schemes at stalls with displayed products and provided on spot services to the general public.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the aim of the Yatra is to generate awareness regarding the Central government’s welfare schemes and policies and achieve 100 per cent saturation of flagship government schemes.

Participants including school students also took part in skits and other cultural events, on spot quiz competition, singing of Swachata  songs and other related programmes.

Achievers were also felicitated for their exemplary work in respective fields during the programme.

Local participants also availed health services including screening for various ailments at health camps conducted at these venues on the occasion.
